Ciclofonia was created on the occasion of SHUT UP ‘N PLAY YER BIKE with Sebastiano De Gennaro and Vincenzo Vasi. The cycling and sound performance was preceded by a collection of video materials that, starting from Zappa’s appearance on the Steve Allen Show in 1963, documented the various approaches composers have taken towards the bicycle.
